Mr. Josh Verkouille, Principal

Mr. Josh Verkouille has been an educator for over 16 years and has served as the principal at Satsuma High since 2015. As an alumni, he is excited to have returned to his roots as a member of the Satsuma City School System. Mr. Verkouille's goal is to ensure students are given opportunity to reach his or her full potential and become college and career ready. Mr. Verkouille states, "I am committed to making sure that our school offers a comprehensive school experience for every student that combines rigorous academics, a dedication to athletics, fine arts, and extracirricular opportunities to enable students to develop a sense of belonging within themselves, this school, and the community."

Mrs. Ashlee Smith, Assistant Principal

In 1996, I began my public teaching career as a special education teacher at Robert E. Lee Elemenatary School. In 2005, I transferred to Satsuma High School where I continued to serve as a special education teacher. In 2014, I was promoted to school counselor where I have had the privilege to work with Junior and Senior students. This year, I will work in the capacity of Assistant Principal and Counselor. I look forward to a great year! GO GATORS!
